About the firm

Built from a personal need.

Strome started with a house. The goal was a home that was comfortable to live in: quiet rooms, even temperatures, fresh air that didn't depend on a window. The plans had every other system engineered. The HVAC was a square-footage guess, and nobody had drawn where it went.

Custom homes deserve custom engineering

A custom home is engineered everywhere else: the structure, the energy model, the drainage. The mechanical system is often the exception. It gets picked by the square foot, run wherever the ducts fit, and found out at framing or on the first hot afternoon. For a house designed room by room, that's the wrong way round.

We apply the same customization to the system that the architect applied to the house. Room-by-room loads from your drawings. Equipment selected to match them, not a rule of thumb. Duct runs, equipment locations, and clearances worked out on paper, so the field doesn't find the conflict first. Title 24 from the same numbers, so the energy report and the sheets agree.

Every package is reviewed by a licensed California mechanical engineer who practices in HVAC, and that's who answers your questions.

Strome Engineering Corporation, a California corporation formed in 2026. The office is in Southern California; design and Title 24 work runs across the state.
